What Color Looks Best On Me?

What Color Looks Best on Me

The body element which helps you determine “What color looks best on me?” is the Color of Your Skin, Hair and Eyes. I wrote a blog post which will help you determine which colors look best on you: What Are The Colors Of Your Skin, Hair And Eyes Telling You?

In this post you learned which 3-4 colors brighten the color of your skin, hair and eyes. To review or to determine these colors go back to What Are The Colors Of Your Skin, Hair And Eyes Telling You?

Your Power Color

Your power color is the color that makes you feel the most alive when wearing it. Everytime you put it on, your energy level increases. You feel like you can tackle anything.

I didn’t write about your power color in the above post but it’s an important step in answering the question, “What color looks best on me?” The next step is to determine which of the 3-4 colors you love to wear is your power color.

My power color is red with a little bit of blue undertones. Whenever I wear it I can easily tap into my confidence and personal power. I make sure I wear it when I’m not feeling 100% or I need to step out of my comfort zone.

Who's the boss?

In the above picture I had asked the question, “Who’s the boss?” In actuality I was testing the idea of wearing long sleeves which create vertical lines. Vertical lines create more confidence and authority. These pictures are all of me and on a whim I put on a pair of red pants, my power color. By far the answers I got back about “Who’s the boss?” were the one wearing the red pants.

Determine Your Power Color

Which of your 3-4 best colors is your power color? Which makes you feel lightest? I know this sounds strange, but your body can tell you. In my post, Your Body Knows, you can learn this trick. Another option is to experiment. Wear a different color everyday and observe which one makes you feel like you:

  • Can tackle anything
  • Have more confidence
  • Are able to step out of your comfort zone with confidence

Understanding my power color changed my life because I was able to tackle things I was scared to do before. I think it will change your life too.

Evaluate Your Favorite Outfit

Now it’s time to turn our attention to your favorite outfit. What is the main color(s)?

Hang the outfit on a door and ask yourself what is the main color or what are the 3-4 main colors?

Your Favorite Outfit On You

Does your favorite outfit have the same colors as your above answer to “What color looks best on me?” I bet it is or at least it’s very close. Is the main color your power color?
